I am trying to decide what to do next. I want to finish my pillows for the living room couch, arrange the drapes, get the spice rack up in the kitchen, get the trash ready for trash day, do some menu planning, clean up the basement and garage. I think I am going to start with the pillows. I bought pillow cases to match the sheets I used for drapery material. I am going to use the stuffing from extra bed pillows to stuff them. This was much less expensive than purchasing finished pillows.
The diet is going fairly well. I wish I had lost more this week, but I am pressing on. I am trying to simplify the food choices. I like the idea of having the menu planned ahead. We have saved money on the food budget. I am trying to remember to eat the snacks on the plan so that I don't get extremely hungry between meals.
I am getting bored with the food choices, so I am going to modify the plan. There are many foods which are healthy and fit into the plan. I just need to add variety. I am finding decaf tea with stevia to be very satisfying. I haven't had any interest in drinking soda. I am pretty much sticking to tea, water, milk and some types of juice.
There are some good suggestions on choices and portion control in The Ultimate Weight Solution, by Dr. Phil. It seems like a balanced approach. I like his suggestion of a visually divide plate with portion sizes and food groups. I am considering taking that a little further and designing a plate with food lists and a size diagram in each quadrant. I think All Fired Up is still in business and I would like to explore designing the plate and having it fired and glazed.
I hope to spend more time walking Skipper as the weather improves. He is getting better and better at working on the leash. We have been working on the "sit" and "heel" commands. He is a delightful little companion.
Well, I need to get on to my projects, or I will never get anything done.
